Dovizioso: Honda still has work to do

Andrea Dovizioso says that despite his maiden MotoGP victory at Donington Park in the last round, Honda still has a lot of work to do before it can challenge for the world title again

Dani Pedrosa is fourth in the standings, 72 points behind championship leader Valentino Rossi, while Dovizioso lies sixth after his win in Britain.

"I arrive here at Brno much more motivated after the victory, but for sure our situation is not what everybody says from the race at Donington," said Dovizioso.

"It's better for my team and for me to arrive here after a victory, but we're still working hard because we need to find a solution to some problems. Unfortunately we are not fighting for the championship, but the important thing for me is to improve my feeling with the bike because my target is to fight for the victory every race, and not just to win one race in strange conditions."

The Italian added that Honda is likely to try several new parts on the bike during this weekend's Czech GP, ahead of Monday's test day at Brno.

"We push to have all the material this weekend to have the maximum time to get information before Monday," he said. "It's better to try everything we can in the races as well. It's not the best, but it's better to arrive on Monday with all the information.

"We have a new swing arm and if the conditions will be good, we will try it on Friday.
