2022 MotoGP French Grand Prix: When is it, how to watch and more
MotoGP heads to Le Mans for the seventh round of the 2022 season at the French Grand Prix with home hero Fabio Quartararo leading the standings.
This will be the first French GP since before the COVID-19 pandemic to welcome a capacity crowd, and coincides with Quartararo's homecoming as the reigning world champion. Quartararo is France's first world champion in MotoGP.
Quartararo comes into the French GP leading the standings after his dominant victory in Portugal and a second-place finish behind Ducati's Francesco Bagnaia last time out at the Spanish GP - the Yamaha rider's advantage standing at seven points from Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro.
The big story coming into the French GP is the shock news that Suzuki will quit MotoGP at the end of 2022, having begun discussions with Dorna Sports about breaking its five-year contract with the series.

The 2022 MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix takes place from 13-15 May and is the seventh of 21 rounds on the calendar.

What time does the 2022 MotoGP French Grand Prix start?
Sunday’s 27-lap French Grand Prix takes place at 14:00 local time (13:00 BST), the traditional starting time for European races when they don't clash with Formula 1 rounds on the continent.
The Moto3 race will be the first on the bill on Sunday at 11:00 local time (10:00 BST), with Moto2 following 12:20 local time (11:20 BST).

Can you watch MotoGP in 2022 for free?
Highlights on free-to-air television will be shown on ITV4 in the UK at 20:00 BST on Monday.
Autosport also revealed that two races - the German and British GPs - will be shown live and free on ITV in 2022.
