125cc: Simon beats Corsi in re-started race
Julian Simon has won the short, re-started 125cc British Grand Prix after the original race was red flagged because of rain at Donington Park
The Aspar Aprilia rider pipped Fontana Aprilia rival Simone Corsi on the last lap, after the two benefited from Marc Marquez throwing away the lead on the penultimate lap by crashing his KTM.
Blusens Aprilia Scott Redding took the last podium place, ahead of Nicolas Terol (Jack & Jones Aprilia) and Takaaki Nakagami (Ongetta Aprilia).
Briton Bradley Smith disappointed his home crowd by crashing his Aspar Aprilia on the first lap while he was leading after a perfect start from fifth on the grid.
Pol Espargaro, who started on pole after dominating the interrupted race, ended a lowly tenth after a bad start and dropping back throughout the re-started race.
