125cc: Pasini retains pole position

Mattia Pasini confirmed his pole position in the final qualifying session of the 125cc Spanish Grand Prix

The Aprilia rider, having also set provisional pole yesterday, stayed at the top of the timesheets for the whole session thanks to the time set yesterday, but went on to improve on that time in the final minutes today.

Second-placed Aprilia rider Gabor Talmacsi also improved his time in the final minutes, but his time wouldn't have been enough for pole even if Pasini didn't further improve his time today.

Talmacsi's improvement, however, forced Lukas Pesek to third place on the grid, after the Derbi rider led most of today's session.

Sergio Gadea strongly improved on yesterday's 17th place to set the fourth fastest time, while Hector Faubel went from sixth to fifth spot today.

Tomoyoshi Koyama lost out from yesterday's third position by falling to sixth place.
