125cc: Corsi retains pole in wet session

Aprilia's Simone Corsi retained the pole position he set in yesterday's first qualifying session for the 125cc British Grand Prix thanks to today's rain at Donington Park

The weather conditions meant that today's session times were meaningless as far as qualifying was concerned, with riders running some 15 seconds slower than in yesterday's dry session.

Next to Corsi on the the first row will be the Aprilias of reigning champion Gabor Talmacsi, Sergio Gadea, and Scott Redding.

The times today were topped by KTM's Raffaele de Rosa with a 1:52.142 run, three tenths faster than Talmacsi and four quicker than championship leader Mike di Meglio on Derbi.

Derbi's Joan Olive was fourth-quickest ahead of Gadea, Derbi's Dominique Agerter and Aprilia's Andrea Iannone.

Three Aprilias round up today's top ten with Michael Ranseder, Bradley Smith, and Corsi.

Many riders slid on the slippery surface today, among them Smith, Esteve Rabat, Randy Krummenacher, Daniel Webb, Marc Marquez, and Stefano Bianco.
