Ganassi Part Ways with Manning
Chip Ganassi Racing have announced that the team and their driver Darren Manning will part ways, effective immediately

The team had decided not to exercise the option on their contract with Manning for the 2006 season, and both parties felt it was in their best interest to go separate ways.
"Darren did a great job for us and we were very happy to have had him as part of our team," said team owner Chip Ganassi. "The team does regret that we weren't able to bring him to Victory Circle in our time together, but we certainly wish him the best of luck in his racing career."
29-year old Manning joined Ganassi at the end of 2003 and took 24 starts for the team. His best results were three fourth place finishes in Japan, Nashville and Pikes Peak.
