Ganassi confirms Indy 500 line up

Chip Ganassi Racing will run three cars in this year's Indy 500, with former winner Kenny Brack joined by IRL regular Jeff Ward and Brazilian Bruno Junqueira

Junqueira's confirmation is the only surprise, it had been rumoured that NASCAR star Tony Stewart was in line for the drive.

"It takes a special driver to win the Indianapolis 500 and I feel that Kenny, Bruno and Jeff are in that category," said team boss Chip Ganassi. "All three guys have recorded top five finishes at the speedway, so I'm confident that any one of them can win this race."

Brack won the race in 1999 on his way to the IRL title. The Swede revealed that having another crack at 'the great race' was part of the reason behind his move to the team.

"For the last two years it has been difficult watching the race and not competing in it," he said. "Now I get another chance to win the greatest race in the world. I can't wait to get started."

Ward finished second to Brack in 1999 and was fourth a year later. Junqueira was a late addition to the Ganassi line up last year, but did an impressive job to finish fifth.
