Brack delays comeback
Kenny Brack has canned plans to make an Indy 500 comeback this year. The Swede has decided not to go ahead with a test at the Brickyard on April 27/28 in preparation for a racing return in May's 500
Brack was severely injured in a 198g crash at Texas Motor Speedway in October, but he says that recovery problems are not behind his decision.
"That part is going smoothly," Brack told Indystar.com. "But I could not put anybody in a bad position. I wouldn't know if I was 100 percent until I got back in a car, and we've run out of time to do that."
He says, however that he still wants to race again, but he's not yet made any further firm plans for a return to the cockpit.
"It's basically got to fit everyone's schedule," he said. "I don't know when (the team) can get me in a car. But it has to be when I really know I'm ready. I have to be 100 percent."
