Former IndyCar racer Legge joins Acura's NSX GT3 IMSA line-up

Legge, who has raced for the DeltaWing prototype squad for the past three years, was among the full-season drivers announced for the factory Michael Shank Racing squad's GT Daytona class line-up along with team stalwart Oswaldo Negri Jr.

The 36-year-old Briton has links with MSR after making a one-off appearance in its Ligier-Honda JSP2 at this year's Detroit IMSA round.

Legge and Negri will be joined at MSR for the full season by IMSA regulars Andy Lally and Jeff Segal.

The pairings for each of the two MSR Acura NSX GT3s and additional drivers for the endurance rounds of the IMSA series have yet to be announced.

Legge, Negri and Segal are all silver-ranked drivers. Rules for the GTD class demand at least one silver in each car for the two-driver races.

The two Acuras entered by RealTime Racing in the Pirelli World Challenge will be driven by sportscar stalwart Peter Kox, who has led development of the NSX, and team regular Ryan Eversley.

The build of the NSX GT3 was undertaken in Italy by the JAS Engineering, before HPD took over development testing in the USA.
