BMS Scuderia Italia appeal turned down

The FIA's International Court of Appeal met in Paris on Wednesday, in order to examine an objection from the Automobile Club d'Italia/Commissione Sportiva Automobilistica Italiana, on behalf of FIA GT competitor BMS Scuderia Italia.

Having heard the explanations of the parties and examined the various documents and other evidence, the four-man court upheld the decision of the Stewards at Enna to exclude the number 22 car of Luca Cappellari and Fabrizio Gollin from the results of the race two weeks ago.

The car was excluded after problems were identified with the airbox. The amended result means that Thomas Biagi and Matteo Bobbi get their third consecutive win in the championship, with Jamie Campbell-Walter and Nathan Kinch second, while the Care Racing Ferrari of Bryner, Calderari and Livio is confirmed as third.
