Close battles continue for second and fourth places, the latter being contested by Andrew Wilkinson and Pete Morton.
Up two spots to seventh is Ivo Goeckmann in a 1961 Jolus-Ford.

The car was built by Bob Joas in Australia, as he wanted to expand his hill-climb car business into Formula Junior. The Jolus name was inspired by Lotus and Lola, as well as his surname, and he inserted a Ford 105E engine into the chassis.

This chassis is the second of three built in total, and was for a driver named Paul Bolton, with a Ford Cosworth engine. In later years it was converted first to a Formula 2, then a Formula Ford.

Bob Joas helped restore this chassis in the 1980s and the car has raced in historic events all over the world.
de la Roche fights back into St Marys in his BMC Mk2, but Hibberd is once again past out of Lavant. The swuabble between these two for second is helping Roche pull away at the front in the Condor S3.
Andrew Hibberd gets a good drive up the Lavant straight and pulls past de la Roche, and is right onto the tail of leader Roche.
We're underway! Stuart Roach leads from Peter de la Roche.
Today's racing will begin with the Chichester Cup, for rear-engined Formula Juniors from 1958-1962.

Action during yesterday evening's Lavant Trophy, the first race of the weekend. Phil Keen and Jon Minshaw won the shortened event after a safety car trapped a couple of competitors who hadn't yet made their pit stops.
Oliver Bryant topped the times in a Lotus-Climax 15, narrowly ahead of David Hart in a Lister Jaguar 'Costin', and Julian Majzub in a Sadler-Chevrolet Mk3.
Good morning from the 2017 Goodwood Revival Saturday. We've just had a delayed qualifying session for the Sussex Trophy, which was postponed yesterday after some torrential downpours.
