Xilinx to help develop 'Kangaroo.tv'

'Kangaroo.tv' offers users feeds from on-board and pit cameras, as well as replays, real-time driver standings and interviews. Several thousand 'Kangaroo.tv' units will be available to Champ Car fans through rental packages at all but the two European races in 2003, and at all venues next year. The hand-held device relies on Xilinx 'Spartan Series' chips.

"Spectators now have the opportunity to be 'up close and personal' with the drivers and pit crew as well as the ability to view more than one event at the same time."
