Wilson Fastest in Fontana - Day 2
Wilson, now partnered with last year's rookie title competitor A.J. Allmendinger at RuSport, pushed his new car around the sunny 1.45 mile road course in a time of 52.71 seconds, a time which has filled him with confidence for the coming season

"I think we have everything in place to be competitive this season,"Wilson said. "The team is doing a great job, we're all learning and building our chemistry. We have the parts to be good; it is just a matter of putting all the pieces together."
Cristiano da Matta, fastest on Tuesday, is still looking strong, and found a half second saving from his previous best time. PKV Racing's co-owner Jimmy Vasser likes what he sees in his teammate, stating: "I think Cristiano has been a great addition to the team and things are really starting to work.
"We're getting close on our program here at PKV Racing, but it's going to be a tough deal because there are going to be a lot of strong cars - more than half the field is going to be very strong, and fans are going to be rewarded with a great championship because a lot of guys are going to have a chance to win races."
The next tests will be run in Sebring and Fontana from March 22-24, ahead of the season opening race at Long Beach on April 10.
