Tracy aiming to connect four at Brands

Forsythe Racing star Paul Tracy is aiming to continue his perfect start to the season by taking his fourth straight Champ Car victory at Brands Hatch this weekend, a feat only achieved by three other drivers in the history of the series

The Canadian has already set one record this year, becoming the first driver since the formation of CART in 1979 to take victory in the first three races of the season. Should he win at Brands, he will join Al Unser Jr, Alex Zanardi and Cristiano da Matta in having taken victory in four consecutive races.

Tracy, however, has said that he isn't thinking about his run of success. "People keep asking me about how long we can keep this winning streak alive, and I don't even think about it in terms of a streak," he said. "Everyone on Team Player's just focuses on the next race and what we can do to be in a position to be in front at the end."

Having raced at Brands Hatch early in his career, Tracy is looking forward to competing on the famous track in a Champ Car. "I'm excited about racing at Brands Hatch," he said," not only as a driver but as a person who's interested in the history of motor racing and Brands Hatch is certainly a name that one associated with this history.

"It strikes me as the type of track where you have to be aggressive, but at the same time, you've got to keep your wits about you. There are certainly plenty of rises, twists and tricky sections, so it's very challenging in that respect. I'm just going to try to draw on my driving experience to handle those challenges. From what I can tell, the passing windows are relatively small, but there are definitely a few places and opportunities for passing."
