Second pre-season test arranged
Silverstone will hold a second official pre-season A1GP test less than two weeks before the 2007-08 season starts at the end of September
The British circuit has held a pre-season test for the past two years, but series officials have announced that they will visit the circuit twice in the month leading up to the start of the season at Zandvoort on September 30.
The first test had already been scheduled for August 28-29, and the second will be held on September 18-19 on the Silverstone International circuit layout.
The only other opportunity that the teams will have to run their cars before the start of the season is if they decide to hold a driver shoot-out to determine their line-up.
However, only rookie drivers can take part in any shoot-out, and it must take place on a circuit not used by A1GP.
The previous two Silverstone tests have been a good indication of what to expect for the season ahead. Inaugural champions France were one of the pacesetters in 2005, while Nico Hulkenberg was fastest for current champions Germany on the second day in 2006.
