Rookie Garcia hopes for more Cleveland joy

Luiz Garcia returns to the scene of his Indy Lights triumph for the Medic Drug Grand Prix of Cleveland this weekend

The rookie Payton-Coyne Racing driver has raced only twice in this year's CART FedEx Championship, and he hopes his win last year will benefit his return to the Cleveland circuit.

'I really like Cleveland and the layout of the track...it suits my driving style.

'Everything went just right for me last year and I hope it happens again. I know I can drive there and be competitive.'

Garcia missed two races to concentrate on testing after poor performances at Long Beach, where he finished 24th, Motegi (19th) and Homestead (24th).

He blamed the lack of testing for his unspectacular results.

'I think I need more track time in order to find the limits of the car and find my own limits in the car.

'I would have liked to have done at least 10 days of testing before the first race but that was not able to happen. I just need to keep driving and get better.'
