Rocketsports to test Brazilian duo

Rocketsports have confirmed that they are testing Brazilian ex-Formula One drivers Enrique Bernoldi and Antonio Pizzonia at Houston this week

The team have been linked with a possible re-branding to 'Team Brazil' in recent weeks, in a similar deal to Walker Racing's Team Australia face-lift last season.

Pizzonia and Bernoldi will test the new road course layout at Houston, with the aim of evaluating the pair for race drives this coming season. The test will take place for two days, beginning tomorrow.

Bernoldi is excited at the prospect of racing again, following his testing duties with BAR Honda last season.

"This is the beginning of a new challenge for me and my career," Bernoldi said.  "I was not racing last year; my only time behind the wheel was as a test driver so I am excited for this new opportunity.

"I am motivated to be racing again and that is the reason I am here. I hope that I can learn the car and the track quickly so that I can focus on getting to know the team and the overall feeling behind the wheel of a Champ Car."

Pizzonia, who last raced in the 2005 Chinese Grand Prix with Williams, reckons it will take time to get used to driving a Champ Car.

"This is going to be a new challenge for me because the Champ Car is a different car compared to what I am used to driving," Pizzonia said. "I have not been in a car for a while so I am ready to start driving again.

"It is going to take a little bit to get used to the car, but I am ready for the challenge and looking to have some fun."

Super Aguri's reserve driver Franck Montagny has also been linked with the team.
