Ranger Signs for Conquest
Canadian youngster Andrew Ranger has been confirmed at Mi-Jack Conquest Racing, after impressing the team during testing at Fontana earlier this month
The 18-year-old, who has been linked with the move to Champ Car racing after winning rookie of the year in Toyota Atlantic last season, will join the already announced Nelson Philippe.
"I've worked hard to get where I am and I'm really pleased to see that my efforts and those of my sponsors that have supported me from the very beginning of my racing career have been rewarded," said Ranger.
Ranger is due to join this week's Champ Car test at Sebring ahead of the season-opener at Long Beach at the start of next month.
Conquest Racing boss Eric Bachelart said: "I had heard a lot about Andrew and I had been watching him for some time, but I was really struck by his composure and dexterity in handling the car.
"This is a very exciting time for MJCR. We have worked extremely hard during the off-season to improve the technical and engineering program, and we feel that we have two very capable drivers in Nelson and Andrew to take full advantage of our technical package."
