Premat fastest in wet practice 2
Alexandre Premat brought the second wet practice session at Fundidora Park to a premature halt by causing the fourth red-flag stoppage of the session - but still came away at the top of the times
The Frenchman's best lap of 1:38.926 was just enough to pip Matt Halliday this time, although it was not enough to eclipse the New Zealander's benchmark from the earlier session.
Premat spun nine minutes from the end, and the organisers wisely decided to call it a day.
Portugal proved that their decision to miss the first session was not a handicap, as Alvaro Parente set the third fastest time, ahead of the Czech Republic's Tomas Enge, another driver to cause a red flag by spinning and stalling his car.
Germany's Timo Scheider, third fastest in the first session, continued to lap consistently in fifth, ahead of Britain's Robbie Kerr.
Austrian A1 GP rookie Patrick Friesacher and Malaysia's Alex Yoong were the other drivers to cause red-flag interruptions.
Hayanori Shimoda was the only driver not to appear on track following his accident in the first session that broke the nose of his Lola.
