North American VPD Conference speakers
MSC.Software, the US provider of virtual product development products and simulation software, has announced the keynote speakers for its 2003 North American VPD Conference [May 22], scheduled for October 13-15 in Dearborn, MI. The event will assemble hundreds of professionals to discuss the future of design and simulation in the automotive, aerospace and other industries. More than 50 companies have committed senior engineering managers and product development experts
During the management track, engineering managers will deliver their strategies for accelerating innovation by using design for six-sigma, multi-disciplinary collaboration, simulation data management, and other state-of-the-art methods.
The technical track will feature engineering experts presenting real-life simulation applications including durability, hydraulics and controls, multi-body dynamics, vibration, safety and structural analysis.
The four keynote presenters will be Dennis Wend, the executive director of the US Army's National Automotive Center, Phil Martens, Ford's VP of North America Product Creation, Dr Ahmed Noor, NASA's director of Advanced Engineering Environments, and Kevin Fowler, director of Lean & Efficient Processes at Boeing Phantom Works.
