The sportscars will be prominently displayed on the Autosport Stage throughout the January 14-17 event at Birmingham's NEC.

Gordon Shedden's British Touring Car Championship-winning Honda Civic Type-R completes the set, with the stage to be located next to a collection of eight grand prix cars spanning the history of the Williams Formula 1 team.

Ford's new motorsport programme marks 50 years since it claimed a one-two-three finish in the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours with the GT-40.

Autosport International will be the first time the new GT has been displayed to the public in Europe, with 2016 World Endurance Championship drivers Andy Priaulx and Marino Franchitti to attend the show on Saturday January 16.

The car will make its race debut in the Daytona 24 Hour later this month, before dual WEC and IMSA SportsCar Championship programmes.

Other Autosport International displays will include the regular F1 Racing Grid, BTCC and Wales Rally GB displays, and a celebration of the 1970s and '80s in association with Silverstone Classic.

Stars of the sport heading to Birmingham include 1996 F1 world champion Damon Hill, current Williams racer Felipe Massa, two-time World Rallycross champion Petter Solberg and three-time Le Mans winner Allan McNish.

OPINION: The 67th edition of the Macau Grand Prix might have been a largely muted affair to the outside world without its international influx and star line-ups, another victim to the COVID-19 pandemic, but organisers deserve huge credit for keeping the party going
