Mitsubishis trade places
The leading Mitsubishi drivers swapped positions in North Africa today, but after stage six the Japanese marque is still in its familiar position at the head of the leaderboard.
Hiroshi Masuoka won the stage by just under three minutes from South Africa's Giniel de Villiers, which was enough to take him into the overall lead. De Villiers (Nissan) moved up to third overall after today's performance.
Peterhansel is still in second after coming home fourth today behind Colin McRae, who continues to improve. The Scot was only five minutes behind the stage winner after the 351km special from Ouarzazate to Tan-Tan, which puts him in sixth overall.
Ari Vatanen ran into more problems today and was stuck for around two and a half hours. Miki Biasion was involved in an accident and reported to be awaiting assistance mid-afternoon.
