Having retired from motorsport at the end of 2012, the three-time Indy 500 winner is now part of Formula E's commentary team.

"Autosport International is a great celebration of all aspects of the motorsport industry," Franchitti said.

"I'm looking forward to attending the event next weekend and having the opportunity to meet some of the fans who have been so supportive of my career."

Other Autosport International attendees include Williams Formula 1 deputy team principal Claire Williams, British Touring Car champions Gordon Shedden, Matt Neal, Colin Turkington and Andrew Jordan, three-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner Allan McNish and TV commentator David Croft, who will host shows in the Live Action Arena.

Williams will start celebrations of its 40th anniversary with a showcase of iconic cars from its F1 history, including the title-winning FW14B and FW18.
