Geoff is Boss in Toronto

Geoff Boss dominated qualifying for the Indy Lights race in Toronto, taking pole by a full 0.5s ahead of Felipe Giaffone

Jonny Kane, who has yet to win a Lights race since switching over from Formula 3000, starts 3rd in the Team KOOL Green car. Fellow Brit Derek Higgins joins him on row two. Guy Smith and Ben Collins are 14th and 16th, but there is still another session to go, scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

Indy Lights debutant Kenny Wilden qualified an impressive 13th for Brian Stewart Racing. The Canadian, currently 4th in the Toyota Atlantic standings, is having a one-off outing with BSR.

As usual, the field is pretty shaken up. Former points leader Casey Mears was slowest of all, while fellow frontrunners Didier Andre and championship leader Oriol Servia are back on row five.
