Forsythe control warm-up

Paul Tracy and AJ Allmendinger continued to show strong form for Forsythe Championship Racing just ahead of this afternoon's Grand Prix of Cleveland, when they topped the Sunday morning warm-up

Tracy, who has remained in his back-up car that he used in qualifying (having shunted his original car in pre-qualifying) went fastest, with a time of 57.559 seconds, though in the final seven minutes of the session he ground to a halt out on track, out of fuel.

Teammate AJ Allmendinger was also strong, ending the session a quarter-second behind Tracy, but barely clear of Justin Wilson (RuSPORT).

Allmendinger's former teammate at Conquest Racing, Nelson Philippe, again had the CTE Racing-HVM flying round the ballsy parts of the circuit and wound up fourth, ahead of compatriot and reigning champion Sebastien Bourdais (Newman/Haas Racing).

PKV Racing pair Oriol Servia were sixth and ninth, 0.6 seconds apart, and split by the Team Australia duo of Alex Tagliani and Will Power.

The latter duo each scrubbed in a set of red tyres, but though this initially put them up at the top of the leader board, their times soon dropped off.

Power had gone back to blacks when he brought the session to an end slightly early when he slid into the tyres at Turn 8 and broke off his rear wing.
