Ford Extend Champ Car Deal
The Champ Car World Series has announced a multi-year extension of their relationship with Ford

The deal sees a continuation of the association between the series and the manufacturer, which in its current incarnation has seen a continual presence for the last 14 years, during which time Ford has taken 91 wins and four championships.
Ford will continue in its role as sole engine supplier for the series, which enters its third season in 2005. They will also supply various cars and trucks for pace vehicle, safety team and thrill ride uses. Off the track, Champ Car teams and drivers will be provided an allotment of Ford cars for their use.
"We're very happy with this extension and look forward to our continued relationship with the Champ Car World Series," said director of Ford Racing Technology Dan Davis in a statement. "Champ Car's ownership is committed to expanding the series and we believe that their ability to successfully stage high-profile events internationally will allow us to showcase the many new and exciting products that Ford has in its lineup."
The 2005 season gets underway at Long Beach this weekend.
