Dario looks forward to Long Beach
Dario Franchitti is hoping it will be third time lucky as he bids to win his first-ever Long Beach race this weekend
The Team KOOL Green star has finished twice in each of the last two Grand Prix of Long Beach.
The circuit has been modified since last season and Franchitti is hopeful the changes will pay off this weekend.
The Scot said: "Long Beach is one of those races that I look forward to each year.
"It's a nice little racing circuit, but what makes it so special is the fans - they're just incredible. It seems like all of Southern California comes out to the race and the whole atmosphere of the place is really something.
"We've come close the past two years here, but fell just a little short.
"Team KOOL Green has shown we're the team to beat on the streets, and Long Beach is the only street race in the series I haven't won, so I'd like to fix that this weekend."
