Burgueno heads Dallara-Nissan test

Former British F3 racer Angel Burgueno set the fastest time of a two-day Dallara-Nissan World Series test at Jarama in Spain this week

The Spaniard's Meycom-run machine was a tenth quicker than the RC Motorsport car of India's Narain Karthikeyan. Last year's Formula Nissan champion Franck Montagny of France was third quickest, ahead of reigning FIA Formula 3000 champion Justin Wilson, who lost a lot of time on the opening day with a clutch problem on his Racing Engineering car.

Former FNissan champ Antonio Garcia was fifth fastest, ahead of Ander Vilarino. Ex-F1 racer Ricardo Zonta was only ninth fastest in his Gabord Competicion car.

Eighteen cars took part in the test and the inaugural World Series is scheduled to begin next month.
