Blundell back in action at Detroit
Champ Car racer Mark Blundell will be racing in the next round of the CART series championship at Detroit in 10 days time
But the Englishman, who fractured a vertebra during a testing accident in May, will be under pressure to put in a good performance for the PacWest team.
His replacement Roberto Moreno has pleased the team with his efforts, and team owner Bruce McCaw has not disguised his admiration for the Brazilian.
'I want to thank Roberto [Moreno] for the wonderful job he did filling in for Mark [Blundell],' he said.
'He brought a lot of credit to PacWest and we will miss him. I hope one day we'll get the chance to do it again under different circumstances.'
Moreno is now being linked with a move to Patrick Racing, taking over from PJ Jones.
Blundell says he is eager to get back into his racecar. 'I'm really anxious to get back in a car. This has been the longest summer of my life.'
