We have another World Rallycross update from Hal Ridge in Istanbul and it's that man again, Mattias Ekstrom, who is fastest in the final heat.
Double DTM champion Mattias Ekstrom set another fastest time in the final heat at Istanbul Park, to head the Intermediate Classification. Ekstrom bettered the time set by Petter Solberg in the penultimate race, the championship leader pulling off a brave move for the lead of his race at turn one to be second fastest overall.
Andreas Bakkerud and Reinis Nitiss were third and fourth respectively, while Manfred Stohl recovered from problems on day one to be fifth, with Timmy Hansen in sixth.
Liam Doran had a clean race with good pace but due to problems yesterday again missed out on the semi-finals, while former WRC driver PG Andersson got wrapped up in a battle with Max Pucher in heat four and also didn't make the semi-final cut.

10m23.2s is Ogier's time. He is fastest, obviously, because he is the only man through, but no one behind is currently anywhere near that.
I think a powerstage win would soften the blow of what has been a weekend to forget for the champion.

SS9 Bisinao-Agosta (10.40 miles)
This one starts out on a nice fast, smooth and wide road which is a bit like a race circuit before turning left at a really famous hairpin. After that it’s a much more traditional bumpy, abrasive surface pretty much all the way to the finish. The first third of the stage is pretty much flat out, but then you go through a village and start descending – when we were on the recce, this bit felt a bit like a log flume, it was raining so hard! It’s relentless down that section, the corners just lead into each other and then suddenly tighten to a hairpin. It’s a quality way to finish the Tour de Corse.

BIG news from the Blancpain Sprint Series. Laurens Vanthoor may miss next weekend's Zandvoort finale, if he is deemed unfit to race following his massive accident in Misano.

Marshall may not have much use for his own stage guide for the powerstage in all honesty. He and Kevin Abbring went off on SS8 and unfortunately retired, they had been running fifth and challenging Kris Meeke.

"Heat three done at the Istanbul Park, where Mattias Ekstrom won the last race of the heat to set the fastest time and is now top overall with one heat to go.
"Timmy Hansen followed Esktrom for most of their heat three race, but dropped behind Andreas Bakkerud when the joker laps played out. Bakkerud set second fastest time with Hansen third. Bakkerud's team mate Reinis Nitiss is still third overall. Petter Solberg made a good start in heat three but finished fifth in his race and was tenth.
"Anton Marklund was fourth fastest with Liam Doran sixth and Rene Munnich a respectable ninth.
"Davy Jeanney was squeezed into the wall on the outside of turn one the fourth race of the heat, leaving Toomas Heikkinen nowhere to go, the Finn's Polo hitting the rear of Jeanney's Peugeot hard. Peugeot-Hansen and Marklund Motorsport are facing a race against time to repair the cars in time for heat four."

That, is of course, Tandy's second major overall endurance win of 2015. The other being his Le Mans 24 Hours victory with Nico Hulkenberg and Earl Bamber. No biggy eh!
I'm well aware that it's Sunday morning and a few of you may have a hangover, well this ought to perk you up. Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet took a shock overall Petit Le Mans win.

In the meantime lets talk Sebastien Loeb. The nine-time World Rally champion was hoping to take part in Corsica, but missed recce as David Evans explains:
"The nine-time world champion came close to starting this event - and probably would have done if the recce hadn't started on Monday (he couldn't make it back from the Chinese WTCC round last weekend)."

In WRC2 Lappi takes 18s out of leader Maurin, but the overall gap stands at 21.6s with only the powerstage to go.

The rally leader is through and he has extended his lead to 32.7s.

Ostberg is understandably a bit upset with losing a place to Paddon:
"There’s nothing I can do, I tried my best. It was a nice stage with tricky conditions. Im trying, I felt like we had a good run but there’s not a lot I can do.
"When you have a dry setup you have a dry setup. I was happy with my stage. There’s nothing I can do to defend my position at the moment."

And guess what. Paddon has got the jump on Ostberg. The Kiwi is now 6.2s ahead.
