WRC - Spain: Kubica update - the Pole has been awarded a notional time for all three of this afternoon's stages (the winning time plus five minutes), suggesting he will be rejoining the action under Rally 2 on Sunday.

He'll begin tomorrow seven minutes ahead of Meeke and just under eight behind Evans, both of whom are also competing under Rally 2.
WRC-2 - Spain: Bucking the trend seen in recent stages, Maurin has dropped 3.5s to Al-Attiyah on the superspecial.

That means the Qatari will take a lead of 1m05.9s into the final four stages, with Barrable over four minutes adrift of Maurin now.

In the DDFT, Cave has stretched his lead over Solans to 1m01.7s.
WRC - Spain - SS13 results:

Stage results

1) Mikkelsen
2) Latvala +0.1s
3) Ogier +0.7s
4) Neuville +0.8s
5) Sordo +1.8s
6) Hirvonen +2.4s
7) Ostberg +3.7s
8) Meeke +4.5s

Overall standings

1) Ogier
2) Latvala +27.3s
3) Hirvonen +1m18.6s
4) Ostberg +1m48.3s
5) Sordo +2m10.4s
6) Neuville +3m36.1s
7) Mikkelsen +3m48.2s
8) Prokop +7m31.0s
WRC - Spain: Here come the final two WRC cars to complete the day's running - Latvala is a tenth shy of Mikkelsen's time, but takes 0.6s out of Ogier's lead.

That means Latvala will start tomorrow with 27.3s to make up in the fight to keep his title hopes alive.
WRC - Spain: Mikkelsen goes fastest in the stage so far, 0.8s ahead of Neuville, closing the gap between the pair in the battle for sixth overall.

Ostberg meanwhile goes fifth quickest, 3.7s off the pace. The Norwegian will be looking to secure fourth place and the crucial manufacturers' points that go with it tomorrow.
WRC - Spain: Hirvonen completes what must rank as one of his strongest days on asphalt in quite some time by going third quickest in the superspecial, 1.6s down on Neuville.
WRC - Spain: Sordo gets a rapturous reception at the end of the second leg, going a second slower than team-mate Neuville to slot into second.

"I've been flat out from the beginning today - I want to do the best for my fans," the Spaniard says.
WRC - Spain: Prokop has dropped another 26 seconds on this stage, the Czech explaining that the problem that caused him to stop in the last stage and go so slowly in this one is gearbox-related.
WRC - Spain: Neuville completes his day with a flourish, knocking 3.7s off Meeke's time to go quickest so far.

Next up will be Prokop, followed by Sordo, Hirvonen, Mikkelsen, Ostberg, Latvala and Ogier.
WRC - Spain: Protasov had just over 20 seconds on Block in the battle for the final point, and things don't change as the pair record identical times in the superspecial.

"It's been incredibly fun," says Block after reaching the end of the second leg. "I wish I could have gone faster, but it's been a blast.

"It's been three years since I competed on tarmac, so I'll have more confidence to push tomorrow - the car can do a lot more than I'm willing to commit to right now!"
WRC - Spain: Paddon goes a tenth quicker than Evans to sit second.

Khalid Al-Qassimi, Protasov and Block will be through the finish before the next of the manufacturer entries, Neuville.
WRC - Spain: Back in Spain, Meeke is already through the superspecial in 2m40.9s. Evans goes 1.1s slower.
ERC - Valais: Lappi takes the flying finish of SS19 to wrap up victory in Valais, and come within touching distance of the title.

Breen wins the stage to consolidate second place, with Wiegand third, while Consani's late issues drop him behind local men Jonathan Hirschi and Olivier Burri.

Final rally results:

1) Lappi 2hr46m22.4s
2) Breen +42.0s
3) Wiegand +3hr04.1s
4) Hirschi +4m10.2s
5) Burri +4m17.8s
ERC - Valais: The first few drivers have finished the final stage of the rally, and one driver to hit late drama is fourth-place man Robert Consani.

He has a puncture and appears to be losing fluid, which is going to drop him at least two places.
WRC - Spain: We're about 10 minutes from the start of the ultra-short 1.4 mile superspecial stage in Salou, which rounds off the day's action.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, there will be just four stages and 44.7 miles remaining for Latvala to try and reel in Ogier - a tall order indeed.
DDFT - Spain: One class we haven't touched upon in our coverage yet is the Drive D-Mack Fiesta Trophy, which is serving as the junior class in Spain in the absence of the WRC-3 runners.

Former British Rally Championship frontrunner Tom Cave leads the class after SS11 by 58 seconds from local man Nil Solans.
WRC-2 - Spain: Al-Attiyah sees his class led whittled down a further 8.8s by an on-form Maurin.

The gap between the pair - still the tightest between any two drivers in WRC-2 by a long shot - is now down to 1m02s.

To give you an idea, the next three drivers in the class - Barrable, Benito Guerra and Nicolas Fuchs - are all split by six minute intervals.
ERC - Valais: Lappi wins the penultimate stage in Switzerland to take a step closer to victory, eking out his lead over Breen by 1.4s. This is how the leaderboard looks going into the final test:

1) Lappi 2hr32m29.8s
2) Breen +44.4s
3) Wiegand +2m41.5s
4) Consani +3m14.0s
5) Hirschi +3m50.8s
WRC - Spain - SS12 results:

Stage results

1) Latvala 15m40.6s
2) Meeke +0.2s
3) Ogier +5.0s
4) Hirvonen +10.0s
5) Sordo +12.1s
6) Ostberg +12.5s
7) Neuville +13.0s
8) Mikkelsen +13.0s

Overall standings

1) Ogier 3hr01m37.4s
2) Latvala +27.9s
3) Hirvonen +1m16.9s
4) Ostberg +1m45.3s
5) Sordo +2m09.3s
6) Neuville +3m36.0s
7) Mikkelsen +3m48.9s
8) Prokop +7m04.9s
WRC - Spain: It's deja vu for Ogier as he drops five seconds to his rival, just as he did this morning on the same stage.

The gap to Latvala is back down to 27.9s with only the evening superspecial to run today.
WRC - Spain: Meeke's best time hasn't survived Latvala's onslaught - the Finn shaves 0.2s off the Ulsterman's effort.

"I'm having to push so so hard," says an exasperated Finn.
WRC - Spain: Mikkelsen comes through, dropping a second to Neuville in the fight for sixth overall with only the fifth quickest time of the stage so far.

In the battle for third, Ostberg has lost a further 2.5s to Hirvonen, speculating he may have had a puncture crossing the flying finish.
WRC - Spain: Hirvonen goes second quickest, 9.8s away from Meeke - not that needs to push any more to secure his spot on the podium.

Further back, Latvala goes a second quicker through the first split than Ogier. He'll need to find some more time to keep the pressure up.
WRC - Spain: Prokop confirms that his stop was in fact not due to a puncture, speculating it may have been a driveshaft problem.

Sordo comes through 0.9s quicker than team-mate Neuville, but 11.9 away from a scintillating Meeke.
WRC - Spain: Neuville comes through 12.8s down on Meeke.

Next up will be Sordo, Prokop losing around three minutes with his stoppage - presumably because of a puncture.

There's been quite a few of those on this rally...
WRC - Spain: Paddon goes third quickest, 3.6s down on Evans.

Meanwhile, we're hearing Prokop has stopped on the stage but has got going again, and that Sordo has passed the Czech on the road.

Paddon is nonetheless over four minutes behind Prokop in the overall standings, so he's likely to remain ninth for now.
ERC - Valais: We're hearing that third-place man Kajetanowicz was missing from the start of SS17, suggesting a problem prior to the stage for the Pole.

That promotes Wiegand to third behind Lappi and Breen, who takes another stage win, which improves his chances of keeping his Skoda team-mate in his sights in the title battle:

1) Lappi 2hr21m38.3s
2) Breen +43.0s
3) Wiegand +2m28.1s
4) Consani +3m00.7s
5) Hirschi +3m32.3s
WRC - Spain: Here's Meeke, who completes the stage in 15m40.8s. Evans, lacking the pace of his fellow Brit on the tarmac, clocks in 15 seconds slower.
RS200 Spain

RS200 Spain

WRC - Spain: This year’s Rally of Spain Historic has its usual classic mix of Group B machinery, as DAVID EVANS has spotted, including Enda Garvey’s Marlboro-liveried Ford RS200 (pictured) and photographic genius Reinhard Klein in his MG Metro 6R4.
WRC - Spain: SS12 is now live. Meeke will be first through, followed by Evans and Paddon.

We're still not entirely sure what happened to Kubica, besides the fact that he lost a wheel and is still yet to register a time for SS11. That's probably his day over.
ERC - Valais: The ERC points system is a complicated beast, offering bonus points for finishing positions after each leg, but one thing is clear.

If Lappi wins the rally, he has as good as won the title - by our calculations, he would be 33 points clear of Wiegand, with only 39 up for grabs in the season finale in Corsica.
WRC - Spain: Glancing a little further down the championship table, Mikkelsen is virtually certain to end up third, but Hirvonen's fourth place remains up for grabs, with Neuville, Meeke, Ostberg and Evans all within shouting distance.

That said, if Hirvonen comes third this weekend, that will put the place all but out of the reach of his rivals.
WRC - Spain: Next up is a second run through Colldejou, the stage where Latvala was able to make the biggest impact this morning.

Just to remind you that the Finn has to outscore Ogier if he's to take the title fight to Wales - he's 27 points behind the reigning champion as things stand, with only 28 left on the table after this weekend.
WRC-2 - Spain: Julien Maurin continues to chip away at Nasser Al-Attiyah's class lead, with the gap between the pair now down to 1m11s. Robert Barrable remains on course for a podium finish in third.
ERC - Valais: The news from Valais after SS15 is that Breen, after winning the stage, is up to second overall behind Lappi with three stages to go, Kajetanowicz dropping to third:

1) Lappi 2hr12m44.0s
2) Breen +51.0s
3) Kajetanowicz +54.9s
4) Wiegand +2m20.5s
5) Consani +2m52.4s
WRC - Spain - SS11 results:

Stage results

1) Ogier 29m17.9s
2) Latvala +4.6s
3) Meeke +16.0s
4) Hirvonen +20.0s
5) Sordo +22.0s
6) Neuville +25.5s
7) Evans +27.4s
8) Ostberg +28.9s

Overall standings

1) Ogier 2hr45m51.8s
2) Latvala +32.9s
3) Hirvonen +1m11.9s
4) Ostberg +1m37.8s
5) Sordo +2m02.2s
6) Neuville +3m28.0s
7) Mikkelsen +3m40.9s
8) Prokop +3m53.0s

No sign of Kubica at the end of the stage yet - we'll bring you more on that as soon as we know what happened, but for now, Paddon is up to ninth and Yuriy Protasov tenth.
WRC - Spain: Latvala managed to edge ahead of Ogier in the middle section of that stage, but he ends up falling 4.6s shy in the final reckoning - undoing much of his hard work from this morning.
WRC - Spain: Ostberg only manages the sixth best time so far, losing 12.9s to Citroen team-mate Meeke.

Mikkelsen is also through, losing around two and a half minutes.

"I had a puncture, but I'm not sure how it was caused," says the Norwegian.
WRC - Spain: Reports emerging that Kubica may have lost a wheel - hopefully we'll able to hear from the horse's mouth exactly what happened if the ex-F1 star can coax his Fiesta to the end of the stage.
WRC - Spain: Hirvonen is through the stage, four seconds slower than Meeke but faster than Sordo, noting how tough the stage has been on his tyres.
