WTCC - Suzuka: "To win 57 years after Fangio, it's a big achievement and I feel privileged," continued Lopez.
"It has been a long time, Fangio was the last one. Because of him we Argentineans have the passion for motor racing. We have a lot of support, and I think you saw that this year [at the WTCC's race in Termas]. So, it really means a lot."

WRC - Spain: The official series Twitter account has just revealed what's in store for our top three finishers - a coveted place on a very smart-looking podium and a cool bottle of Cava.
WRC - Spain: Every point that Meeke and Ostberg can pick up today will be crucial for Citroen's manufacturers' position.
The French squad are just nine points clear of M-Sport Ford as things stand, with Hirvonen firmly on course to finish third, while Hyundai are a further seven points back with Sordo snapping at Ostberg's heels.

WTCC - Suzuka: By winning today's opening WTCC race, Jose Maria Lopez became the first Argentinean to win an FIA World Championship since 'El Maestro' Fangio in 1957, and the first South American to win a title at Suzuka since Senna in 1991.
In the press conference he explained the significance of the result.
"This has happened in a special place for me," said Lopez. "My idol Senna won two titles here, which meant a lot to me when I was a kid. If I had to choose a place to win the championship it would be Suzuka, the people have been great."

WRC - Spain: Meeke was second quickest on this stage earlier, and best of the non-VWs in what will be the power stage - that bodes well for the possibility of the Citroen driver salvaging something from a trying weekend.
WRC - Spain: Here's how the running order will look for the final two stages as SS16 goes live:
Meeke, Kubica, Evans, Al-Qassimi, Block, Protasov, Paddon, Prokop, Mikkelsen, Neuville, Sordo, Ostberg, Hirvonen, Latvala, Ogier.

WTCC - Suzuka: "I felt it was really unfair driving from Hugo," said Michelisz. "He gave me absolutely no room and left me with no choice but to take the escape road. I don't want to criticise him as he may have had a brake problem or some other issue, but it was like he didn't brake for the corner."
WTCC - Suzuka: Norbert Michelisz shed more light on the incident that caused him to take to the escape road on the penultimate lap of race one.
The Hungarian was trying to pass Hugo Valente, who moments earlier had run off the track at 130R, conceding third place to Sebastien Loeb.

WTCC - Suzuka: The Citroen team's packing-up activities for Macau have not stopped Jose Maria Lopez enjoying his world title.
The Argentinean has won much respect this year for his sporting approach, and has taken time to pose for selfies and sign autographs with much of the pitlane.

MotoGP - Sepang: "It was a great race for me because I struggled a lot during the weekend," says a magnanimous Rossi.
"But I worked with the team to modify the bike and my pace was much better today."
"The race was fantastic, I enjoyed it a lot. Marquez was better on the used tyre in the final few laps and he deserved to win."

MotoGP - Sepang: "It feels like a long time ago since I was last won," beams a jubilant Marquez. "I was joking with a journalist before that since people start mentioning Doohan's record, I stopped winning!"
"I enjoyed the race a lot, I had to work really hard in the difficult conditions. I will enjoy celebrating in front of my fans."

MotoGP - Sepang: Marquez's 12th win of the year sees him draw him level with Mick Doohan's record for most premier-class wins in a single season - one more at Valencia would see the Spaniard take the record outright.
It should be added that Doohan, who managed the feat back in 1997, only had 15 races in which to rack up his 12 wins, three less than the current size of the MotoGP calendar.

MotoGP - Sepang: Replays show Hernandez wildly all over the place under braking into the final corner and nearly piling into Espargaro.
He misses thankfully. You don't want to be rammed by an out-of-control Pramac Ducati when you've already got a broken foot.
