Sordo is only fifth on the stage, and drops seven seconds to Tanak in what could develop into a battle for third. Even so, that rate of time loss should still allow the Spaniard to complete the podium.

Doesn't look like Breen will come back at Tanak today based on their first splits through there - Tanak is six seconds clear.

Hanninen comes in and is fourth, slowest of the three Toyotas.

Elfyn Evans is now fastest of all through the first split two cars back, 0.2s faster than Ostberg's best.

Ostberg drops time in the run to the stage end and is 2.3s slower than Latvala.

"We had a little bump on a tarmac section, ran a little wide," says Latvala, who visited hospital overnight after feeling unwell all day yesterday but adds he is feeling better today.
Ostberg is now fastest of all through the first spilt, 1.4s up on Latvala.

With an Atlantic’s worth of reach, waves get pretty big just west of where this week’s rally’s based. Just a few miles away, American Garrett McNamara surfed the world’s biggest wave at 111-feet. Have a look at it here. It’s mad. The chap isn’t McNamara and didn’t surf a 111-foot wave. Yep, you guessed it, he lost face…
And although we've got our first top 10 runners on stage now with Lappi and Latvala at it, let's also check in with our man on the ground DAVID EVANS for a quickfire update with little relevance to the rally itself...

With some of the action now underway, it's that time of the morning where we spoil you with stage descriptions. Today's guides come from Seb Marshall, who WILL be back out in action alongside Hayden Paddon today after the pair suffered yet more frustration yesterday afternoon.
SS16 Fafe (6.94 miles)
What do we need to say about this stage? It’s a legend. It might not be the longest stage of the event, but by God it’s fast. The first section’s really nice; it’s quite technical and narrow, but it’s full of short, fast corners that link together. Then you get up onto the wind farm section and over the jump where [Jari] Ketomaa crashed a few years ago. After that it’s down to the main road where the big Saltire’s painted - obviously quite a special place for any rally fan – and then into the hairpin right back onto gravel. While I’ve done the recce for this stage a few times, I’ve never actually competed on it – I can only imagine the atmosphere’s going to be pretty special.
After that it’s a quick bit up to the big jump. The famous jump. The approach to this is really fast, it’s a 100-metre straight, but the jump itself is not flat – there’s a fourth-gear left 80 metres after the jump, so you have to have the car settled and ready for that corner. And then you’re away to the finish. Great stage.

So yes, it’s that man Sebastien Ogier who leads the way. Thierry Neuville hauled himself just about into striking range with a stonking effort on SS15 yesterday, but with three relatively short stages are there enough miles to claw back 16.8s? Neuville seemed to do well on the final day of the previous rally…

For the sake of completeness, though, may the record show that Sunday morning's loop has started - Valeriy Gorban is off and tackling the first stage.

This morning's action is due to kick off any minute now - though as it's a similar set up to yesterday, with a little while before the frontrunners take to the stage, we'll continue with a little more scene-setting.

If you’ve been with us all weekend, great decision, but if you’re just joining you’ve missed one heck of a mixed event. Friday’s frenetic pace and tight leaderboard promised a great fight at the front, but that fizzled out somewhat yesterday – although there was enough drama at the end of both the morning and afternoon loops to keep interest up.
