Tank's still not happy with the car. He said: "It was difficult to find the good feeling with the car. It's not so nice. The car's just not working when it's good grip."

Tanak finishes SS5 +0.5s to Neuville.
Stopwatch
Lefebvre +6.5 to Latvala at the end of SS4.
Stopwatch

Quote
Neuville faster than Ogier by 1.8s in SS5.
The Belgian said: "I tried to push hard. It's not so easy with [the weight from] two spares tyres; the rear starts moving quite quickly, but now I have two new tyres for the long one – hopefully this will help me catch some time back."

Ogier's in a rush at the end of SS5: "It was OK for us, yeah, it was an OK stage. I have to go..."
The drivers are unlikely to stay long at the stop line. Like this morning, they have a refuel and a tyre change to content with before they go into the long stage.

Mikkelsen fourth fastest on SS4 +2.1s to Latvala. Leads Ogier by 6.1s, but don't forget Ostberg still has to slot in there.
Stopwatch
Ogier through SS5 4m01.6s
Ogier and Neuville both into SS5.

Lappi concerned that his efforts might have hurt his tyres. He said: "Maybe it was a bit too much for the tyres already. I made a mistake and the time could have been better.
Stopwatch
Mikkelsen +0.9s at split.
Stopwatch
Good time from Lappi, just nine tenths of a second off Latvala.
Quote
Hanninen slightly nonplussed with his time – he's sixth of the seven who have come through so far. "Everything is OK, but I need to improve the driving," he said. "We fixed the car a little bit in the service, but we need to find something more before the next stage."
Stopwatch
Lappi's brakes are all good again, he's 0.8s down on Latvala at first split. Hanninen through the stage 4.9s slower than his senior team-mate.
Rally leader Mikkelsen's into stage four.
Quote
Typically honest, Evans reports: "There's a grippy line coming, but the time is terrible. I expected to be closer than that."
Stopwatch
Hanninen +3.5s to team-mate Latvala at first split.
Stopwatch
Evans drops time at the finish +6.2s to Latvala.
Quote
Sordo departs the stop line quickly, offering the briefest explanation of his upturn in speed. He said: "I found more grip and more confidence."
Stopwatch
Sordo 0.3s down on Latvala at finish.
Quote
Latvala is much happier having found something amiss with the Yaris at service.
The friendly Finn said: "This is the way we want to go. We did some changes at service and we realised something was wrong this morning. Still the grip wasn't as good as the morning."
What changes?
"I can't tell you about the changes. I'm so sorry..."
Yeah, right. He's not that sorry.

Stopwatch
Sordo -4.3s at first split to Neuville.
Quote
Tanak not quite as chirpy at this morning after dropping time to Neuville (he was 0.1s faster than Ogier): "It's difficult, I struggled a lot more with the feeling. When it was in the loose, it was not so good."
Those last times are to stage winner Neuville, by the way.
Stopwatch
Tanak +0.9s at the finish. Latvala, meanwhile, is -4.0s at first split!
Quote
As he did on this stage this morning, Neuville took time out of Ogier in the second half of the stage: "I had to learn the car with hard tyres (took softs this morning). I tried to push hard. The car moved about a little bit, but I could manage."
Stopwatch
Tanak -0.6s and fastest of the first three through the first split (that first split's at 6.90km, or about 4.29 miles).
Stopwatch
Neuville -1.0s at the finish.

Ogier said: "It's difficult with the second loop. I'm surprised at the time (being up on the split time). I thought the cleaning would be better..."
Stopwatch
Neuville +1.9s at first split.
Ogier's time is 8.0s faster than the morning's scratch. So cleaning? Let's see what the master has to say...
Stopwatch
Ogier through SS4: 7m11.7s.
Neuville's into the stage as well. He needs to crack on a bit now. If Hyundai's to stand any chance of staying alive in this year's WRC, the Korean firm really needs to be stacking up some one-twos. With that in mind, it's slightly surprising to see all three factory i20 Coupe WRCs taking six tyres. Ahead of the event, the team talked about having nothing to lose, but they couldn't have been more conservative this afternoon.
Green flag
The afternoon is go. Ogier starts SS4.
SS4 Caseres (7.96 miles/12.50 kilometres). It starts from the village of Caseres on a fast, narrow road that widens after a junction in Arenys de Lledo and heads up through a windfarm. There’s some dirty asphalt at the end of the stage, but not much to worry about. Exactly the same as last year’s stage.
By the way, quickest time last year on the first run at this stage was 7m39.9s – this time around it was 7m16.7s. Don't forget, it was wet last year.
