WRC - Poland: Sebastien Ogier has left the line to begin our first stage.

Here's the lowdown on it from Kris Meeke's co-driver Paul Nagle:

SS2 Gorklo (8.07 miles)

This is the shortest stage of the day and we only do it once in this direction. We will be back on this road tomorrow but that's part of a longer stage and we're using it in the opposite direction.

This is a good way to start, a good introduction to what's going to be a very fast event. And this one's typical of that – really quick!
WRC - Poland: Rally Poland means Robert Kubica country.

Yesterday the nation's motorsport hero warned his fans that he's still relatively early in his rallying learning curve so not to expect him to be matching the frontrunners even with the advantage of their fervent support...

...but then he came within half a second of holding the rally lead at the end of the superspecial.

A 1.5-mile evening superspecial is a very different affair to the rest of the rally, though. The real test for Kubica, and his rivals, begins in about five minutes.
