WRC - Italy: First, Ostberg comes through. He's 12s down on Ogier after a terrible day.
"It was a difficult afternoon with tyres, it was a difficult day today but I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I like those stages."
The Norwegian also has some scathing words for tomorrow's stages:
"It's not rally, it's endurance. that's not the way rallying should be."

"It's been fantastic, very happy with the day. Always happy with the car and happy with the tyre choices.
"Tomorrow is long, even two or three cars in front it's going to be difficult. Paddon has been very fast."

WRC - Italy: Ogier is into the stage and gets us underway for the final time today.
WRC - Italy: Paolo Andreucci has extended his WRC2 lead with the demise of Esapekka Lappi (who did get going again after hitting a wall and losing half an hour.)
The Italian is now 48.1s clear of Nasser Al-Attiyah - who had a difficult morning in his Ford Fiesta RRC.

WRC - Italy: Just over 10 minutes to go until Montiferru.
Jari-Matti Latvala takes us through the 9.45 mile test.
"The first four kilometres of this stage are very, very rough.
"After that the road is getting smoother. One of the things about this stage is that it is constantly diving in and out of the trees, with the shade of the sun it can make some of the corners hard to see – it can be quite tricky."
With the rough surfaced cleaned by the earlier stage, Sebastien Ogier is less likely to be slowed by sweeping the road at the front.

Breaking news
WRC - Italy: We have some news from our Rallies Editor DAVID EVANS in the service park:
"The job to fix Andreas Mikkelsen's Volkswagen Polo R WRC is being undertaken right now. But it's not just the right-rear suspension and transmission which is being replaced – the team has also removed the fuel tank.
"AUTOSPORT understands the initial impact (caused by the right-rear dropping into a big hole in SS4) and subsequent damaged parts led to a fuel-related issue which stopped the engine.
"Mikkelsen's engineer Richard Browne has promised to talk to us once he's less busy getting Andreas' motor ready for the road tomorrow."

Despite that, Paddon still increases his lead because of Latvla's puncture. The lead is 20s.
"We struggled a bit on this one," said Paddon. "It was a lot more slippy than the last one, our rhythm wasn't as good."

WRC - Italy: Tanak comes in, fourth fastest and 9.2s down on Ogier. Unless Paddon falters in the final sector that will leave Tanak fifth behind Sordo.
WRC - Italy: Neuville is through 52.3s down on Ogier.
"I have no power and I had no handbrake from the beginning of the stage."
The handbrake is vital on this stage, so to only lose 52.3s is not that bad, considering.

WRC - Italy: Decent second split for Paddon, who's 1.9s down on Ogier. That's the best of the rest.
It looks like Latvala will hold third, but we can't see Tanak's splits. It will take a TiTanak time to jump the Finn, though (sorry.)

WRC - Italy: Sordo gets closer to Ogier than anyone so far, but he's still 6.2s down on the Frenchman.
WRC - Italy: Ogier will move up to second now, behind Paddon.
Lot's of red on our timing screens indicates that not many people are improving on Ogier's time.
Paddon is slower than Ogier by 2.6s in the first stint.

Crash
WRC - Italy: Latvala has lost 21.9s in the stage as he has a puncture. That's going to drop him down the order, how far we won't know until the end of the stage.
"The chicane at the end of the stage, my mistake. I came into it to fast. There is a bank on the exit of the corner, the bank pulled the tyre off the rim."

Ostberg is also through now, 8.5s down on Ogier's time.
"The feeling is good. I don't know about the time, I can't really explain it, I have good rhythm."
The Norwegian clearly perplexed at his lack of pace.

WRC - Italy: Ostberg is 2.6s down in the first split. A strange day for the Citroen driver so far, he's chasing down seventh placed Martin Prokop, who is 6.4s up the road.
WRC - Italy: Ogier sets a nice benchmark in the first split. A 2m56.7s to start us off.
WRC - Italy: SS9 is go!
It's the 11.1 mile Grighine Nord test.
Jari-Matti Latvala gives us the lowdown:
"This one starts with a nice flowing uphill stretch of road, but then you come through a series of junctions before you start the downhill part of the stage.
"This is so tricky, really tough because it is so steep coming down the hill. The last five kilometres is more flowing, but not always so fast and the road surface here is a very hard base."

WRC - Italy: The battle of at the front really is getting interesting.
With the roads swept thanks to this morning's running, the sweeping affect isn't troubling Ogier as much, or Latvala who is running third on the road.
That being said, Hayden Paddon is remaining quicker or within a second or so on each stage of the Volkswagens of Latvala and Ogier in second and third respectively.
Paddon is maintaining his pace on merit - not just because of his lower starting spot.
