Hamlin takes a look at Logano for the lead on the inside, but the Penske Ford carries momentum on the higher line.
Truex and Harvick are in the middle of a very, very busy midfield pack. Harvick is up to 11th, Truex down to 13th.
Gordon was side by side with Ryan Newman as both crawled all over Busch there, now he's through and into fourth.
Joey Logano bursts past Denny Hamlin to take an immediate lead. Kyle Busch is under attack from Jeff Gordon for third.

And then there's Kevin Harvick. The reigning champion, consistently a pacesetter, probably the pre-weekend favourite, yet only 13th on the grid. But his race pace should be much stronger.
Martin Truex Jr - how is a man racing for the single-car, relatively low budget Furniture Row team in title contention when only one Hendrick driver, one Joe Gibbs driver and no one from Penske? It's been an extraordinary season for this underdog combination, and Truex has also earned the admiration of the paddock and most of America for how he and partner Sherry Pollex have handled her battle with ovarian cancer.
Jeff Gordon... he's Jeff Gordon. Four-time champion, the first NASCAR hero of the modern era, in his last ever race, and he could leave the Cup series as champion again.
Kyle Busch missed eight races early in the season with a broken leg after a Daytona crash in the Xfinity Series, and had to battle his way into the top 30 in points (via a sensational winning run) to be allowed to contest the Chase.
Each of the four has what might be termed a 'unique selling point'...

Denny Hamlin starts on pole but is no longer in the title fight. That's between Kyle Busch (third), Jeff Gordon (fifth), Martin Truex Jr (11th) and Kevin Harvick (13th). There are no points permutations to consider - whichever of those four finishes highest is the champion.
