WEC finale, Macau GP, NASCAR decider

Looks like Johnson's crew gave the bodywork a whack during a tyre change to try to deform its shape to a more favourable aero profile. NASCAR not amused - one pitstop required to re-bend it, another for a drive-through penalty.

Bowyer looks like he's out of what has been Michael Waltrip Racing's final appearance.
NASCAR calls Johnson in for attention to body panels. Johnson is not impressed with that.
'Lucky dog' from this caution will be polesitter Hamlin, putting him back on the lead lap already after that three-lap garage visit to get a transmission system leak attended to. What is this, Le Mans?
Tony Stewart was another man caught up in all that, he's having to make multiple pitstops for repairs.

Scott, if any Jeff Gordon fans do mechanical soil analysis, they won't answer you right now.
Most in American motorsport are tweeting about the NASCAR decider right now, but not Global Rallycross champion and ex-NASCAR (and F1) racer Scott Speed...
That started with Clint Bowyer and Ty Dillon colliding, sending Bowyer into Earnhardt and then everyone else in that region into everyone else. Quite a mess.
Almirola and Ricky Stenhouse Jr were among those in that, as was Casey Mears.
Yellow flag
Earnhardt's car is a mess. As it's NASCAR, he's dragging it back to the pits.
Crash
Yellow again, Earnhardt in a crash.
Gordon now down to third as Kyle Busch steams through into second. Title contenders one-two-three.
Gordon holds first place initially, but then Harvick sweeps ahead down the outside line.
Green flag
Back to green on lap 44.
Three of the four title contenders have looked like they've got the speed to legitimately run up front so far - Gordon, Harvick and Kyle Busch. Truex has hung in there on strategy but right now doesn't seem to have the absolute pace.
But the track is going to keep changing as it gets colder and the remaining sun disappears. And there are still over 200 laps to go.
Fair few takers for tyres and fuel in the midfield, leaders stay out.



Is it Jeff Gordon retro pic o'clock? Clearly.

No fault of Kahne's that time though, a replay shows he had a tyre go down.
Fair to say Kahne has been fourth man of the four at Hendrick this season.
Crash
Yellow again, Kasey Kahne has hit the wall.
Not so good for Busch on this run, he's down to fourth behind Johnson and Harvick, and now Harvick is through to second.
Oh who cares that his form's been fairly ropey for much of the season and his presence in this title fight is a quirk of a quirky format, Gordon being in the lead and fighting for this title is a wonderful thing.
Green flag
Outstanding restart from Gordon - he surges down the inside from third to first and the crowd gets noisy. Rightly so.
About to go back to green on lap 36 of 267.
