Quartararo: "From the beginning of the year, let's say from Jerez, this is our strong point - honestly I don't know why. But really happy because in our rookie year to make six pole positions already, looking back where we were in the past...

"Super happy about today because we improved the pace of yesterday that I was a little bit worried about."
Marquez: "I'm very happy because I'm closer than what I expect, and this is more important. I expected to be further in one lap - in race pace, I'm okay, but Yamaha and especially Quartararo are very very strong in one lap."
Miller: "I mean, it was pretty good. I sort of settled in there behind Marc but he rolled out pretty early, I honestly nearly slid into him at Turn 8. Managed to get it pulled up, got through.

"Would've liked to have seen what I can do with a medium front. But all in all a good day, good weekend here so far, we've been strong in every session. Looking forward to hopefully a strong race tomorrow."
Replays show that Marquez had to abandon his final attempt while running in Mir's tow, but a subsequent exchange of thumbs-up gestures suggests there's no ill feeling between the two Spaniards. Great performance by Mir today, by the way.
It was 0.976s between Quartararo in first place and Rossi in 12th. Good session, that.
Final Q2 results: 1 Quartararo, 2 Marquez, 3 Miller, 4 Vinales, 5 Morbidelli, 6 Dovizioso, 7 Mir, 8 Runs, 9 Crutchlow, 10 Petrucci, 11 P Espargaro, 12 Rossi.
The sector times all over the field strongly suggest it's a sixth pole for Fabio Quartararo. Vinales looks to be settling for a second-row start.
Chequered flag. Marquez has rolled out of his lap, so he will not be on pole.
Quartararo improves to a 1m29.978s, the first sub-1m30s lap of the weekend.
Quartararo is looking quicker still on this lap, as Marquez improves to second place - just 0.003s down on the Frenchman.
But Quartararo immediately responds with a 1m30.007s!
It's a 1m30.086s from Jack Miller! Provisional pole position with two minutes to go.
Marquez starts a fast lap but seems to realise he's towing Jack Miller and ends up rolling out of the lap. Miller continues pushing.
Espargaro finds an extra tenth this time by, and it's enough to move him up from 10th place to sixth.
Espargaro is alone on track right now, on a hard rear tyre. A repeat of his Q1 effort would launch him into fifth place, but right now he stays 10th.
Current order: 1 Quartararo, 2 Vinales, 3 Marquez, 4 Miller, 5 Morbidelli, 6 Petrucci, 7 Rossi, 8 Dovizioso, 9 Rins, 10 P Espargaro, 11 Mir, 12 Crutchlow.
Morbidelli has had a huge moment into Turn 2 and skipped through the gravel as a result, but has managed to stay on the bike.
That effort from Quartararo was still 0.003s slower than what he'd managed in FP3 earlier today.
Welcome to the party, Fabio Quartararo - it's a 1m30.235s, which takes him a tenth clear of Vinales and Marquez.
Much better from Marquez this time by, but he comes up 0.032s short of Vinales' provisional pole time.
Miller is immediately quicker with a 1m30.405s, before Vinales takes the top spot with a 1m30.365s. Quartararo's first lap is good enough for third.
The initial pace is a 1m30.800s from Marquez, but that's nothing to write home about and he'll definitely look to go much quicker than that.
Marquez is running in Rossi's tow and has Pol Espargaro on his tail. Quartararo and Vinales are all by themselves.
Q2 has now commenced. Wouldn't bet against another Marquez - Vinales - Quartararo front row, but in which order? (Watch it be Miller - Rins - Morbidelli now)
Q2 roster: Dovizioso, Petrucci, Vinales, Quartararo, Morbidleli, Crutchlow, Mir, Rins, Miller, P Espargaro, Rossi, Marquez.
KTM's Pit Beirer full of praise for Espargaro and Lecuona when speaking to MotoGP's pit reporter Simon Crafar. On Lecuona, he says: "Of course we're a little bit nervous and we just want to calm him down, to make sure he goes easy over the weekend, but what he just showed is really really impressive for a rookie - not a rookie going into the season, rookie just overnight!"
Lecuona was 1.1s off Rins' pace there, but two tenths up on his Tech 3 squadmate Syahrin. Good work. He should be just fine next year.
Q1 results: 1 Rins, 2 P Espargaro, 3 Zarco, 4 Pirro, 5 A Espargaro, 6 Lorenzo, 7 Kallio, 8 Rabat, 9 Lecuona, 10 Iannone, 11 Abraham, 12 Syahrin.
The chequered flag is out. It should be Rins and Pol Espargaro progressing to Q2.
Rins retakes the first spot by 0.005s. But he and Espargaro look nailed on to progress here, as Zarco and Pirro are more than half a second off after two sectors.
Brilliant lap from Pol Espargaro, as he takes the first spot from Rins with a 1m30.543s despite a major moment late on. Rins is now on the bubble.
Abraham has crashed at Turn 1. He'll be 19th at best here.
Lorezno improves to fourth place with just under four minutes left on the clock. He'd need to find another three and a half tenths at least to challenge for Q2.
With all riders in the pits now, the order is: 1 Rins, 2 P Espargaro, 3 Zarco, 4 Pirro, 5 A Espargaro, 6 Kallio, 8 Lecuona, 8 Lorenzo, 9 Abraham, 10 Rabat, 11 Iannone, 12 Syahrin.
