"This race is much, much better than we expected. I pushed 100 per cent - more than ever. I rode very, very well. I'm proud of my riding.
"Even though he made a lot of progress in practice, we were unable to have the same comfortable rhythm as Marc. I was struggling a lot to do these laptimes, and finally I lost a lot when he touched me.
"But really I was struggling with my physical condition because I'd pushed so much in the beginning.
"To finish the race just seven tenths behind when on Friday we were maybe 1.3s slower is better than we'd ever expected."

MotoGP - Silverstone: Marquez has another massive moment at Abbey, and that's given Lorenzo a bit of hope again. They're about to start their final lap.
MotoGP - Silverstone: Iannone is losing ground - after looking very safe in sixth a few laps ago, he's dropped to eighth behind Pol Espargaro and Bautista.
MotoGP - Silverstone: That move at The Loop gave Marquez a much better exit onto the Wellington Straight, and he crosses the line with two laps to go 0.5s ahead.
