IndyCar - Detroit: Wow, in just a few laps Conway has kicked out a lead of 9.9s. He's been helped by some of the guys behind him pitting, but he's pulling away from second-placed Aleshin at a race of 0.7s per lap.
NASCAR - Dover: Keselowski has worked his way back into the top three, having slipped back from his pole position. Johnson leads Gordon by 2.8s with 88 laps to go, with one round of pitstops to go.
IndyCar - Detroit: Or not - Hinchcliffe and Munoz both pit, as does Justin Wilson.
IndyCar - Detroit: Conway finally finds a way past Hinchcliffe, and immediately sets about opening a gap. Hinchcliffe now has Munoz and Pagenaud to deal with.
IndyCar - Detroit: There's no doubting who has the quicker car at this point in the race, but Hinchcliffe is doing a nice job of driving defensively. Conway's cause isn't being helped by how his car is dealing with the bumps - often when he'd like to be putting down the power, his car is jumping skywards instead.

Further back, Power has just passed two Ganassis - Kimball and Dixon - in one move.

IndyCar - Detroit: Hinchcliffe is under huge pressure from Conway. The Brit is on newer black tyres, and Hinchchliffe's scuffed reds don't appear to have any answer to them.
IndyCar - Detroit: Hunter-Reay hasn't made much progress from the last row - the Indy 500 winner is currently 19th. It's a different story for Scott Dixon, who started alongside him and has already climbed up to ninth.
NASCAR - Dover: Justin Allgaier has just attempted to pit sideways. Literally. Spectacular if not effective.
IndyCar - Detroit: Still under caution. The current top five:

1. Hinchcliffe
2. Conway
3. Munoz
4. Pagenaud
5. Huertas
IndyCar - Detroit: Sato pits and changes to the harder tyres. Castroneves has also stopped, and Hinchcliffe now leads.
IndyCar - Detroit: Saavedra is in the wall near the fountain. He understeered out of Turn 7 and tore his left-front wheel off on the tyre barrier.
IndyCar - Detroit: Sato is the only driver on the track with a set of new reds. All of the other drivers who started on them swapped to the harder compound during that first caution.
NASCAR - Dover: Gordon wrests second from Kenseth, with 261 of the 400 laps in the book. No signs of his bad back playing him up.
IndyCar - Detroit: Hinchcliffe pulls out of Castroneves' slipstream and outdrags the Brazilian to reclaim second place. Sato has quite a lead at the moment - the gap is in the 3.4s range.
IndyCar - Detroit: Power serves his penalty immediately, and rejoins in 20th behind Wilson, and last of the drivers on the lead lap.

Up at the front, Sato has a gap of about 0.6s over Castroneves, who in turn has Hinchcliffe bobbing around on his rear wing.
IndyCar - Detroit: Drive-through penalty for Power for causing avoidable contact. No surprise there.
IndyCar - Detroit: Power's first-lap move is under investigation by race control. The Australian is on a charge, and has just taken P11 from team-mate Montoya.
NASCAR - Dover: Back to racing at Dover too. Johnson takes a big jump ahead of Gordon and Earnhardt Jr. But here comes Kenseth, who wrecks the Hendrick party and jumps to second.

IndyCar - Detroit: Power makes the same move at the same spot, and gains P12 from Hawksworth. Sato leads from Castroneves and Hinchcliffe.
IndyCar - Detroit: Meanwhile RLL is going to try to get Rahal back out. Kimball is also up and running again, so whatever his earlier problem was has been taken care of.
IndyCar - Detroit: Power actually did pit after that incident, but he has rejoined 13th. He's on the radio telling the team that "there was plenty of room outside". Look forward to hearing what Newgarden has to say about that later.
IndyCar - Detroit: Power's car appears to be undamaged. Newgarden and Wilson are on their way back to the pits for new nosecones, but Rahal looks like he's out for the day.
NASCAR - Dover: Sixth caution in NASCAR-land as JJ Yeley's car explodes in flames. McMurray gets back on the lead lap despite the track's best efforts to thwart his day.
IndyCar - Detroit: Newgarden was knocked out of kilter by Power, then got hit by Rahal, who in turn was rammed from behind by Wilson. All of that was started by Power, who took Pagenaud down the inside and then decided to try to take Newgarden with the same move.

We've also seen Kimball facing the wrong way. He wasn't involved in that incident, so it's not clear what happened to the Ganassi driver.
IndyCar - Detroit: Green flag! This one looks better.
IndyCar - Detroit: Race control waved the start off. The cars are forming up again ...
NASCAR - Dover: We're racing again around the Monster Mile: Johnson leads Gordon, Kenseth and Earnhardt Jr.
IndyCar - Detroit: Plenty of potential intrigue for the opening laps here. Having the two most recent series champions sharing the last row should be entertaining, as should the prospect of Pagenaud and Power starting alongside one another. The former Team Australia Champ Car team-mates are developing quite a rivalry in IndyCar.
IndyCar - Detroit: GM CEO Mary Barra gives the command to start engines.
NASCAR - Dover: Alex Bowman crashes for not the first time today, bringing out the fifth yellow. He almost takes out Kenseth. A cut tyre was probably to blame; not sure what Kenseth was doing that high up the track.
IndyCar - Detroit: AUTOSPORT took a walk along the dummy grid, and by our count there are roughly six drivers starting on a set of new reds. Conditions are a little warmer than yesterday - the current ambient temperature is around 29 degrees Celsius.
IndyCar - Detroit: The Star-Spanged Banner has been sung, and the pre-race festivities are just wrapping up. Boogity-boogity-boogity, etc.
NASCAR - Dover: Earnhardt Jr pulls off a cheeky pass on Kenseth for third, that sent the Joe Gibbs Toyota up the race track. It's a Hendrick Motorsports 1-2-3 now.
NASCAR - Dover: Half distance! The race order is Johnson leading from Gordon, Kenseth, Hamlin and Earnhardt Jr.

McMurray is 22nd. Harvick is 29th.
NASCAR - Dover: Johnson pings past Kenseth around the outside to grab the lead again - impressive stuff.
NASCAR - Dover: Harvick has rejoined two laps down. McMurray is also charging, trying to get back on the lead lap.
