ERC - Valais: Can Breen get any more places...? Probably not, he's 1m22.9s behind second-placed Burri with 56 kilometres to run over the remaining three stages.

MotoGP - Valencia: Anyone following ex-MotoGP rider Ben Spies on Twitter would have been interested to read his view on the Rossi/Burgess split.

Spies has recently tweeted a clarification to that post, claiming he respects Rossi as a rider but suggesting it could have been handled better "out of respect".

ERC - Valais: Looks like it's going to be very easy for Breen to pick up that podium. He's comfortably fastest of the early runners through SS15, and following crews report that Vasily Gryazin has parked up on the stage with a mechanical problem.
MotoGP - Valencia: The first batch of timed laps ends with Corti and Petrucci occupying the coveted top two spots. Aleix Espargaro is a further 0.4s back.

MotoGP - Valencia: The green flag flies - qualifying is underway! Once the formality of Q1 is done, we're into the real nail-biting stuff. Can either of Jorge Lorenzo or Marc Marquez claim the early initiative in their title showdown?

ERC - Valais: We're about to start the final loop of the final rally of the revamped European Rally Championship's first season, with four stages to go in Valais.
As long as Esapekka Lappi keeps things tidy, he should be assured of victory following Andreas Aigner's shunt this morning. The Austrian's Subaru no longer looks quite as sharp as in this picture...
The man to watch is going to be Craig Breen. Can he salvage a podium? Demolishing the 17-second gap to third-placed Vasily Gryazin shouldn't be a problem, but he needs to avoid any more drama.

WEC - Shanghai: Allan McNish became a world champion for the first time in his career earlier today when he and Audi team-mates Tom Kristensen and Loic Duval clinched the 2013 World Endurance Championship drivers' title.
The trio settled for third as the sister Audi defeated Toyota in a great lead fight, but McNish warns the gloves will be off for the season finale in Bahrain in three weeks' time.
"Today we drove a conservative race but I'm out to finish the season off in style in Bahrain at the end of the month."
