The top two riders will progress to contest the 15 minutes of Q2.
Lorenzo will be joined in Q1 by Hector Barbera, Danilo Petrucci, Karel Abraham, Alvaro Bautista, Sam Lowes, Bradley Smith, Aleix Espargaro, Jack Miller, Pol Espargaro and Loris Baz.

We are one rider down for the rest of the weekend, with Suzuki rookie Alex Rins ruled out after crashing in FP3 and breaking his wrist: 
That was a chaotic session, eight riders crashed, including Marquez twice and Jorge Lorenzo. Lorenzo will be one of the rider navigating the first phase of qualifying.

Vinales and Marquez split the sessions on Friday, but Vinales led the way in FP3 this morning: 
Normally at Austin the question is whether anyone can stop Marc Marquez, who has never been beaten here, or in the USA, in MotoGP. But it's more about whether Marquez can stop Maverick Vinales, who has won the first two races of the year on his new Yamaha.
