This will be a bit of a blow to Marquez, of course. Sure, most of his main rivals qualified behind, but when it comes to mixed conditions, you would normally back the reigning champion - and yet he's got it wrong today.

Miller's got a bit of a wet-weather reputation, of course, having claimed his first MotoGP win at Assen in the wet on a Marc VDS Honda.

Miller has put his Pramac Ducati GP17 on pole in Argentina! He will form the first row on the grid with Pedrosa and Zarco.
Jack Miller goes top! He had ventured out on slicks alongside Marquez and Crutchlow - they abandoned that plan, but he didn't. He's posted a 1m41.153s at the chequered flag.

The track is drying quickly and the order is shuffling with every lap. Dani Pedrosa now top on a 1m47.330s, from Tito Rabat and Alex Rins.

Aleix Espargaro is all pumped up as he returns to his pit box - and he is greeted by applause from his team. His work at Aprilia has often gone under the radar, but today they've claimed a major scalp.

Not only is Lorenzo out in Q1 - and, as his onboard camera shows, clearly furious about it - but he's also been shuffled down to 14th by Karel Abraham.

Redding moves up to third shortly before the chequered flag, he is 0.112s behind Lorenzo. Dovizioso is in the pits.
Lorenzo speeding up now, he improves but is still 0.545s slower than his teammate. They will both get another lap here, as will their nearest rivals.

Dovizioso is briefly demoted to third by Aleix Espargaro, but then pumps in a 1m49.518s. Just over two minutes to go now.
Redding is within 0.083s of Dovizioso for the second Q2 transfer spot, so the championship leader needs to step it up. And it looks like he's doing just that.

Dovizioso's in the pits now, as is the third Ducati GP18 of Petrucci down in eighth. Lorenzo continues to circulate.
And Lorenzo's follow-up lap is stronger, a 1m50.230s that puts him 0.27s up on his Ducati factory teammate.
First laps from Dovizoso and Lorenzo are 0.047s apart, and put them seven tenths clear of the chasing pack.

The race pace simulation FP4 has just wrapped up on a wet but drying track. Marquez has topped it, of course, and by the rather hefty margin of 1.144s too.

Admittedly, it's looking like a wet qualifying session – but Marquez looks quickest in the wet, too, having comfortably topped FP3 earlier today:
