Tonight's action includes two stages and both have required the crews to write completely new notes.
Sisteron has been turned around and starts from Thoard for the first time. Regardless which way it's used, the highest section of the stage – the Col de Fontbelle at 1304 metres - is always snow and ice covered. Sitting on the north side of the col, neither the sun or the snowplougs and gritters are ever seen here. Sisteron will be an amazing way to start the season.
An hour later we're up the road for the Bayons-Breziers stage. Nicknamed ‘Turnstiles', because of the hairpins not far after the start, this one was last run in 1999 – sometime before the current crop of drivers started competing at this event.
