Latvala has parked up just down the road from the stage finish and will try to carry out what repairs he can.
Mikkelsen predicts the next stage will again be much better for his tyre choice. But it doesn't matter too much now as he's up to third thanks to Latvala's incident.

Latvala comes to the media at the finish with clear damage to the left front of his VW.
Mikkelsen is through too and he's up to third overall, 1m04s ahead of Latvala.
That's likely to cost Latvala two places overall, dropping him behind both Mikkelsen and Neuville to fifth.

A turnaround now though - Latvala has gone from 2.8s quicker than Ogier to 17s slower. Surely a problem or minor incident.

Latvala is still a couple of seconds quicker than Ogier too, although Meeke is going faster than both further down the start order.
The gap between Latvala and Mikkelsen keeps increasing - the Finn is 20s faster than the Norwegian on this stage now.
Another battle that had been brewing was young Frenchman Lefebvre versus experienced Frenchman Bouffier for seventh. Lefebvre has added another 5s to his slender advantage over Bouffier at split one.

Meeke is flying on this stage - at the next split in he's gained 5.3s on Ogier.
Mikkelsen is 16s off third-place rival Latvala at the next split, which will take the overall gap between them out to over half a minute.
Ostberg has gone for the same mix of super-softs, stud-less winter tyres and studded tyres as Mikkelsen. Sordo has four super-softs and two studded.

Latvala is now 3.3s faster than Ogier at the next split. That pace will really help him pull away from Mikkelsen here.

Incidentally that choice isn't looking superb for Neuville on this stage as he's slowest so far at split one, 12s off the pace.

By split two, Mikkelsen has lost 13s to key rival Latvala.
And here is Meeke through split one, where he's lost 1.5s to Ogier.
Latvala continues to match Ogier on the next section, gaining 0.7s to close the stage deficit to two tenths.

Mikkelsen's tyre punt earlier got him to within 19s of Latvala in their fight for third overall. If he does something similar to this morning, then anything he loses on the dry asphalt here can be recouped - and then some - when they all reach the ice on the next stage.

M-Sport debutant Camilli has endearingly tweeted a fan's video of his rally-ending crash yesterday. If you'll look closely you'll see it's the same sheet of black ice that caught Kubica out on the first running of the stage.
Green flag
The three VWs and Ostberg's M-Sport Ford are onto SS11, with Ogier fastest at the first split by nine tenths over Latvala so far. Meeke will be next on the road.
...could definitely tell you. Both Liatti and Bouffier thrust themselves to the front of the Montes they won by picking absolutely the right tyres at the right moment amid snow and ice.
