Rins takes fifth from Dovizioso at Turn 9.
Quartararo loses a bit of time by running wide at Turn 6 but his third place is not under threat.
Rins is putting serious pressure on Dovizioso for fifth. He made a move at the final turn, but Dovizioso breezed past on the main straight to retake the position.

Rossi hasn't had a fantastic start as he is currently running 10th, having just passed Joan Mir. Lorenzo is only 15th.

Rossi is having perhaps the worst weekend of his MotoGP career. The 40-year-old was not in the top 10 in any of the sessions of the weekend, finishing the four practices in 18th, 14th, 11th and 13th. He then qualified 13th and was only 15th in warm-up. Never rule Rossi out, but if he was able to recover from this to a podium, or a top five result, that would be truly legendary.
Formation lap underway.

Crash
We have two wildcard riders, Honda and Aprilia testers Stefan Bradl and Bradley Smith, who will start 14th and 19th respectively. Aprilia will still only have two riders though, as Andrea Iannone had to withdraw following a nasty crash in FP4 yesterday.
Information
Italian duo Lorenzo Baldassarri and Niccolo Antonelli won the Moto2 and Moto3 races, which had quite a few big crashes.
Moto2 was red-flagged after a chaotic start when Remy Gardner high-sided out of the first corner, landing in front of all the other riders. The field avoided the Australian but several others ended up crashing out.

Marquez has been impressive, he was in the top four in every session. He topped the warm-up this morning but also had his fair share of problems as his Honda bike came to a halt on his first lap of the day. Honda had a worrying amount of technical issues this year so far, but the fixes the team brought to Jerez was believed to have solved all problems - until warm-up, that is.

Neither Quartararo nor Morbidelli were confident regarding their chances in the race, though. The weather could prove crucial for Yamaha at Jerez because they struggled immensely in FP2, which was the hottest session of the weekend so far. Saturday was relatively chilly, and three Yamahas qualified into the top five. For the moment, today's weather looks more similar to Saturday, which could help the youngsters, but also Vinales.
Satellite Yamahas beating the factory riders has been a common sight in recent years, but yesterday's qualifying elevated that theme to a whole new level. Rookie Fabio Quartararo and sophomore rider Franco Morbidelli were first and second in qualifying, whilst Maverick Vinales and Valentino Rossi will only start fifth and 13th. Quartararo became the youngest ever pole-sitter in MotoGP. He and Morbidelli are clearly in the honeymoon period with the Yamaha bike.
