WRC - Germany: Neuville completes the stage 2.6s down on Latvala, increasing his deficit to nearly five seconds again.
WRC - Germany: Moselland is straight after Mittelmosel and Latvala is already at the end of SS7, Friday's penultimate stage.
"This is a tough stage, a lot of hairpins, a lot of gravel, dirty, a lot of nasty place. In one way it's nice, in another it's very hard.

WRC - Germany: This morning, Mads Ostberg complained that he was "not friends" with his M-Sport Ford as he struggled with the handling.
He's very slightly happier this afternoon, but said "it takes time to build up a friendship."
Unfortunately for Ostberg, it seems his team-mate Neuville is lifelong best pals for ever with his Fiesta given the current pace disparity.

Dani Sordo
WRC - Germany: Dani Sordo is hanging in with the leaders. He fell 15s behind over the first handful of stages, but since then he's been on the same pace as Neuville and Latvala.
GP2 - Spa: Bird took pole by 0.199s, ahead of Leimer, Calado, Ericsson, Rossi and Berthon. Points leader Coletti was only 20th, with nearest rival Nasr 10th. So Leimer and Bird could make some decent headway this weekend.
WRC - Germany: A rough run through a compression gives Latvala a buckled wheel on his VW, but he only loses 0.4s to Neuville. The gap is down to precisely two seconds.

GP2 - Spa: Despite all those personal best sector times, nobody had anything for Bird's first-run time. That's his first pole of the season, the third of his GP2 career (fact-fans, the others were Hungary 2010 and Monaco 2011).

GP2 - Spa: Leimer improves his time, but not his grid position. He stays second but is just 0.199s behind Bird.

GP2 - Spa: Here comes the tide of second runs. But issues for Adrian Quaife-Hobbs, he is touring his way around Pouhon with damage and a punctured right-front tyre.
GP2 - Spa: Ricardo Teixeira is out of his Trident car and looking very sad about it. He's outside the 107 per cent qualifying time and clearly has an irreparable technical issue.

GP2 - Spa: A huge lull in proceedings as every single car sits in the pits. We suspect there's going to be a huge rush for the end of the session, so if anyone complains of traffic, they only have themselves to blame!

GP2 - Spa: Sam Bird now at the top of the times with 1m56.957s as times tumble on the soft-compound tyres. Leimer is second, ahead of Calado, Rossi and Palmer.
GP2 - Spa: Johnny Cecotto is actually first to set a time, already in the 1m58s bracket despite a big slide. Robin Frijns has dropped a wheel into the gravel at Stavelot, but got away with it.

GP2 - Spa: Cars on to their flying laps now. Silverstone and Barcelona poleman Marcus Ericsson is first on track, shooting for the 1m58s bracket from this morning, which was set in far cooler, but slightly moist, conditions.
GP2 - Spa: Conditions are perfect now, with all that F1 rubber down and an air temperature of 24C and track temp at 34C. We're promised a great battle for pole, with at least three drivers in the mix - Coletti, Calado and Leimer - judging by practice form.
