Early order: 1 Marquez; 2 Rossi; 3 Crutchlow; 4 Miller; 5 Rins; 6 Dovizioso; 7 Vinales; 8 Morbidelli; 9 P Espargaro; 10 Quartararo; 11 Petrucci; 12 Bagnaia; 13 Lorenzo; 14 Mir; 15 A Espargaro
Dovizioso has had a brilliant first lap - he's up from 13th to sixth already.
Marquez and Rossi make an immediate break from Crutchlow, who has Miller and Alex Rins right with him.
Crutchlow gets the best start and leads down the straight for a few inches, but Marquez brakes latest down the outside and takes the lead, with Rossi slotting ahead of the LCR Honda into second.
The field is on the formation lap - the start is now moments away.
Speaking of big names struggling on new bikes, Jorge Lorenzo takes the start of this race in 11th place.

He topped Q1 yesterday but his Q2 was made harder by a mechanical failure that left him sprinting down the pitlane to get his spare bike.
Yesterday was a breakthrough day for MotoGP's newest manufacturer KTM, as Pol Espargaro gave it a best-so-far fifth on the grid.

His team-mate Johann Zarco, whose signing from Tech3 Yamaha was such a big deal last year, continues to struggle and will start only 19th.
Ducati has had a tough time - at least with its factory bikes. Title contender Andrea Dovizioso is only 13th on the grid. He was consigned to Q1 with a poor Friday, then got bumped out of a Q2 place by his own team-mate Danilo Petrucci.

Petrucci only managed eighth on the grid, but the top Ducati in the starting line-up is Pramac's Jack Miller. He's led the way for the Desmosedicis for most of the weekend and is fourth on the grid.
Yamaha did manage to outpace Marquez with Maverick Vinales on Friday afternoon. Vinales is only sixth on the grid, but his illustrious team-mate Valentino Rossi is between Marquez and Cal Crutchlow on the front row.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of MotoGP's Grand Prix of the Americas at Austin - will anyone beat Marc Marquez today?
