MotoGP - Argentina: Lorenzo blasts away as the green flag lap begins. Will the Austin jump-start make the Yamaha man more circumspect at the lights this time...? We suspect not.

Colombia's Yonny Hernandez is the closest thing the crowd have to a local man to support in MotoGP, but he starts 17th on the second bike. That's still two places ahead of factory test rider Michele Pirro, who has struggled to get up to speed this weekend while standing in for Crutchlow.

We think it's the right one, though. There was a bit of musical confusion earlier when the Italian national anthem could not initially be found for Moto3 winner Fenati. Twice the French anthem began in error, then stopped, before the correct music appeared a few minutes later.

MotoGP - Argentina: Plenty of plaudits for the Termas de Rio Hondo track, fans and atmosphere on its MotoGP debut this weekend.
Friday's heavy dust layer soon cleared away, and although there were fears that it would still be dirty off-line - to the detriment of the racing - the action in Moto3 in particular this morning suggested that won't be an issue.
There's a good mix of corner tyres, a long back straight that lends itself to drafting and overtaking, and a quirk at the end of the lap, where the finish line is very close indeed to the exit of the final corner.

MotoGP - Argentina: Marquez is having some difficulty getting his sunglasses to fit comfortably between his cap and ears as he studies some data on the grid. There's a possibility that sunglasses issue will be the biggest problem he faces all afternoon, but let's see.

Crutchlow
Another not on that list is Cal Crutchlow, who isn't in Argentina this weekend after he dislocated his right little finger when he crashed out at Austin.
Further checks at a specialised centre in America revealed that he had also suffered a fracture to his little right finger and he underwent a small operation to insert a stabilising pin.
Unfortunately, it means the Briton can't brake effectively and so Ducati test rider Michele Pirro is deputising for him this weekend.

Yes, Lorenzo is no where to be found after what has been a disastrous start to the season, having crashed out on the first lap in Qatar and jumping the start at Austin because of some pesky mosquitoes.

Marquez
In the premier category, Marc Marquez stormed to his third consecutive pole of the season on Saturday, ahead of Jorge Lorenzo and Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa.
The reigning champion is living up to his reputation of being one of the fastest to adapt to new layouts as he’s been setting the pace since Friday afternoon at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit and topped qualifying by a massive 0.742s margin.
Aleix Espargaro continues to lead the way in the Open category and starts fourth, with Italians Andrea Dovizioso and Valentino Rossi joining him on the second row.

Tito Rabat further extended his points tally with a dominant lights-to-flag win in Moto2.
The Marc VDS rider finished two seconds ahead of Xavier Simeon and Luis Salom, who eventually overtook Simone Corsi in the final few laps and went on to claim his maiden Moto2 podium finish.
Dominique Aegerter later demoted Corsi to fifth - his third successive fifth place finish of the season.

In typical Moto3 fashion, any one of four riders could have won today’s race, but it was Romano Fenati who took the chequered flag to give the Valentino Rossi-backed VR46 outfit its maiden win.
The KTM-equipped rider made his way through at the last corner and his late move left Jack Miller rather unhappy, leading to a post-race review by race direction.
The result still stood and Fenati took to the top step of the podium, joined on the rostrum by Alex Marquez and Miller, who continues to lead the standings.
